The originally Norman built Conquest House is the dwelling in which, in 1170, the four knights met before entering the Cathedral to murder Thomas Becket. Behind the attractive half timbered exterior visitors will discover its original Norman undercroft, a 14th century galleried hall, and many other surviving fascinating architectural details and objects.

The toilet is on the 2nd floor. Stairs and steps.
